Samyojana

As a fresher, out from school I was extremely excited to do research and learn science. But I did not know where to start. Dr. Anil Kumar Challa was the saviour. I was part of this workshop called 'Samyojana', where I had the opportunity to dissect and present a scientific research paper, it introduced to me to primary research literature.

We met thrice every week, and Dr.Challa taught us about the research process, presentation skills, assertions, hypothesis and much more. Me and my batchmate, Prarthana dissected and presented the paper 'Resurrection of endogenous retroviruses during aging reinforces senescence' by Liu X et. al

I was pumped up in my first year as this was my first exposure to research, papers and publications. When I turn back and see, this experience was highly inspiring. (the presentation is so funny though, I can't even imagine how much learning has happened in a span of 3 years)
